Description
Pops was a decent fella, and with a lack of empathy he stayed preoccupied with only his own troubles. These troubles which took over his life before he was even aware. Greed. Pops is covered head to toe in pink greed. Pops’ life was driven by greed, which steered him into the direction of selfishness.
Violet represents guilt; you can clearly see it in his eyes. Deep within his chest the violet guilt devours but most of it sits underneath his feet upon which he merely stands, refusing to absorb or acknowledge.
Pops was in control of his miserable life but was too distracted by his own suffering to even realize it. During his final days Pops sits on the chair of death, full of selfish sorrow, unaware the end is right around the corner. He is intelligent enough to suspect that something is off, so he neglects his physical body, drinking and smoking in an attempt to cope. He lowers the cigarette, places the beer on his lap in despair. These are Pop’s final moments of realization that his life has gone to complete waste.. (2023)
